New York, New York!

New York, New York! So great they named it twice! So it goes in Frank Sinatra’s song anyway. And how cool is New York?  It really is the city that never sleeps. Oscar and Garfield absolutely loved it.

We had our picture taken from the Top of the Rock, the Rockefeller Centre. You can see the Empire State Building in the background. We were so high that helicopters were flying below us!

Do you remember that Oliver and Edward moved to America for a year, in 2009?  I really wanted to take you there but it wasn’t possible.  By the end of their year there, both Oliver and Edward talked with American accents!  Really weird!!  They have lost their accents since they came back to Kinoulton.  They lived in a small town called Ringwood in the state of New Jersey.  It is a lovely place, with deer and bears in the woods (real actual bears that break into your bins at night)
